Diamond Wire Cutting
Diamond wire sawing was originally introduced into the quarries of Italy some 50 years ago for cutting large sections of marble and granite for the building industry. It has since been adopted by the construction industry for cutting mass concrete such as bridges, abutments and wing walls, dam walls or any large section of reinforced concrete.
Steel heat exchangers, large diameter pipes, and even steel axles on generating station turbines have been cut successfully. Wire sawing offers a quick, cost effective, dust and vibration free way of removing large quantities of concrete. Wire sawing has also been used successfully underwater for cutting submerged structures.
